Upgrade Payment Guidelines

• Upgrading from Monthly to Annual Subscription

  1. Price Adjustment:

     • When upgrading from a monthly to an annual subscription, the price difference will be calculated. If the current monthly plan is not expired, the remaining days' price will be deducted from the upgrade cost.

  2. Start and End Period Calculation:

     • Payment Requirement: Each upgrade requires an upfront payment of one month's higher tier price. The remaining value of the lower tier subscription will be converted to additional days at the higher tier rate.

• Upgrading from a Lower to a Higher Tier

  1. Monthly Upgrade:

     • Payment Requirement: Each upgrade requires an upfront payment of one month's higher tier price. The remaining value of the lower tier subscription will be converted to additional days at the higher tier rate.

     • Example: A 10-month subscription of a lower tier, valid from January 1, 2024, to November 1, 2024, is upgraded on January 2, 2024. The user pays one month of the higher tier price, and the remaining value (from January 2, 2024, to November 1, 2024) is converted to 10 months and 5 days of the higher tier. The new subscription period is from January 2, 2024, to November 7, 2024.

  2. Annual Upgrade:

     • Payment Requirement: Each upgrade requires an upfront payment of one year's higher tier price. The remaining value of the lower tier subscription will be converted to additional days at the higher tier rate.

     • Example: An 11-year subscription of a lower tier, valid from January 1, 2024, to January 1, 2035, is upgraded on December 1, 2034. The user pays one year of the higher tier price, and the remaining value (from December 1, 2034, to January 1, 2035) is converted to 25 additional days of the higher tier (rounded up to the nearest whole day). The new subscription period is from December 1, 2034, to December 26, 2035.

     • Multiple Year Upgrade: To upgrade for more than one year, the user must first upgrade for one year, then renew for the additional year(s).
